What is the sanitary protocol in the Library?

Answer

The Library is following the AUP sanitary protocol, here are a couple of measures:

  • Masks will be required for all people present on campus, including students, employees and visitors or guest lecturers.
  • Hand sanitizer will be supplied at the entrances to buildings, in classrooms where faculty and students are called upon to manipulate equipment, and in offices that receive visitors.
  • Social distancing (1 meter) must be followed at all times
  • All buildings are cleaned and disinfected daily.  In addition, common areas will be cleaned a second time in the middle of each day, with special attention to bathrooms, doorknobs and railings, elevators and stairwells.

The library is following specific professional guidelines for its collections: materials are quarantined upon returns. We strongly recommend that patrons wash their hands before and after browsing the shelves, or manipulating the compact mobile shelving.
